Book Donations

Document Actions

The library accepts used books, DVDs and audio books on CD during normal library hours. Donated materials should be brought to the Service Desk. Once donated, the material becomes property of the Vail Public Library.

Acceptable Materials:

  • Newer paperback and hardback books in good condition.
  • DVDs and audio books on CD with the covers or cases intact

Unacceptable Materials:

  • Magazines, including National Geographic
  • Textbooks
  • Cassette tapes
  • VHS tapes
  • Reader's Digest Condensed Books

 

All gift materials are evaluated for their usefulness for the library's collection, gift items are not automatically added to the collection. If gift items are not added to the collection, they will be designated for the library's ongoing book sale.
