"Perhaps a modern society can remain stable only by eliminating adolescence, by giving its young, from the age of ten, the skills, responsibilities, and rewards of grownups, and opportunites for action in all spheres of life. Adolescence should be a time of useful action, while book learning and scholarship should be a preoccupation of adults."

—Eric Hoffer (1902-83) American philosopher

There are some wonderful books and songs about names. Remember B*I*N*G*O, John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt, Tikki Tikki Tempo to name a few. This week we are ready to discover how "man gave names to all the animals".

For ages 0-18 mos. Baby story time is filled with songs, movement exercises, rhythm and rhyme. This is very interactive and age appropriate. From their unique perspective, perched on the lap of a beloved adult, these very young minds absorb what is going on around them and may already be learning an appreciation for books and reading.
