"There is divine beauty in learning, just as there is human beauty in tolerance. To learn means to accept the postulate that life did not begin at my birth. Others have been here before me, and I walk in their footsteps. The books I have read were composed by generations of fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, teachers and disciples. I am the sum total of their experiences, their quests. And so are you."

—Elie(zer) Wiesel (b. 1928) Romanian-born writer, lecturer, survivor Nazi camps, Nobel

Join the Vail Public Library as we welcome Mark Stevens, former journalist and acclaimed Colorado author, for a special presentation about his good friend and fellow author Gary Reilly. Reilly, who passed away in March 2011, wrote an 11-book posthumously published comedic taxicab series that takes place in Denver, CO. The first three installments of the series, which have been published, have all been on the Denver Post best-seller list and the second novel, "Ticket to Hollywood," was a finalsit for the 2013 Colorado Book Award.
